Two more journal pages I worked on at PLAY

My darling friend, Dawn (a great traveling companion BTW), thought of "the dirty dozen", "girls on the edge" & "a little black dress" . . . . that is ALWAYS the hardest part for me - thinking of words to add to my pages. Tracy told us about books that have great first lines - for the beginning of a story - I will definitely be getting one of those. A little nonsense added to each page might be the perfect solution for me!

Back from PLAY

. . . an art journaling retreat in Port Townsend, WA . . . refreshed and energized! This is a photo of the beach which I had never been to before in all the years I have gone to ArtFest. Fort Worden is beautiful even though it was pretty cold right now for an Arizona girl! The always inspiring Teesha and Tracy Moore were our gracious generous hosts.

This is the opening page of the journal that I worked on while I was there. The pages were made from recycled brown paper grocery bags (ala inspiration from Judy Wise) that were painted with a light coating of gesso . . . more pages tomorrow.

Dawn's New Book Cover!

Yippee! What a lucky girl I am if this cover holds up . . . that is my journal! Dawn said that the cover can change right up until it goes to the printer. So I was hesitant to post a photo here but then figured I may as well enjoy sharing the cover NOW just in case it does change! So TA DA - and thank you Dawn for my long or short lived journal exposure! You can pre-order this book at a very good price on Amazon here - there is even an extra discount for pre-ordering it.
