This journal page is done using the
D'Blogala Art Journal Friday prompt.

I find it difficult to combine meaning & art on my journal pages. Adding more than a few words or a quote is hard for me. Once I start focusing on the words and meaning then the art seems to get lost. How about you?

set me free . . . a new page started!

I have problems combining the two. My journals, until recently have always been written, pages and pages and books and books full of writing. Only in the last 3 or 4 have I started adding imagery in the form of collage.

But damned if I can get both the writing and the collage on the same page. It's frustrating.

Oh, I really like your blogs by the way.

I write what ever not focusing if it fits with the images. It comes together in the end. Kind of.

Love this page, beautiful!

I too sometimes have difficulty melding the two---journaling and art...and feeling they sometimes detract from the other...so sometimes I do wordless pages...I know in my head and heart what was behind it...sometimes I don't need to record it.

Love your journal pages! And that bird in the bell jar....Awesome! When I have difficulty writing in my journal I try to write it in a story form in the 2 person etc...about my day but from a different view. And the images don't necessarily have to match with what you write...one time you may just feel like collaging...you can always go back another day when you feel like writing and have a page all ready created for you to write on! :) Happy Journaling!!!

I really think your pages convey meaning even without words. I love these pages too. I do find it funny...that we can chat up storm, but you can't put the words in your journal. Perhas you should start just a little pocket journal and all you put in it are words. Hmmm maybe I'll do that.
